Prof Dr Saleh is the Chairman of the Shariah Board of Al Rajhi Bank Malaysia since 2007 and holds a PhD and a Master Degree in Comparative Fiqh (Islamic Law) from Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He currently serves as Shariah Board Member of Al Rajhi Bank Saudi Arabia and Shariah Board Member of Al Rajhi Takaful (formally known as Al Rajhi Ta’awuni). Dr Saleh is also the General Manager for the Shariah Group of Al Rajhi Bank Saudi Arabia since 2007 and act as the Supervisor for Shariah Matters for Al Rajhi in Kuwait and Jordan branch since 2011 and was the Shariah Board Member of Accounting & Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) based in Bahrain.
Apart from his Islamic Banking industrial experience above, Dr Saleh is also a Professor in the High Institute of Judiciary-Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia specializing in Comparative Fiqh and has been teaching post graduate students on Islamic Commercial Laws and transactions (crime and punishment, individual issues and judiciary). He is also an active member in a number of research committees inside and outside of the university and supervises many Master and PhD students on their thesis and dissertations as a post graduate Professor in Fiqh. He also has quite number of writings on Islamic Commercial Laws and transactions.
Sheikh Associate Prof Dr Azman bin Mohd Noor is a senior lecturer at Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance, International Islamic University Malaysia. He was previously the Head of Department, Department of Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh, Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia. He has been lecturing in Islamic Jurisprudence and Islamic Finance at the same department since 2005. He completed his degree in Shariah and Islamic Law in 1997 at Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia. He did his Master’s degree in Islamic Criminal Law in 2000 at University Kebangsaan Malaysia (National University of Malaysia) and another Master’s degree in Muamalat (Islamic Law of Transactions) in 2001 at Department of Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh, International Islamic University Malaysia. He obtained his Ph.D in Islamic Law in 2005 at University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
His areas of interests include Islamic law of Transactions, Islamic Banking and Capital Market, Takaful and Retakaful, Zakat Management and Calculation. He has been supervising MA and Phd students in the field of Islamic Banking and Capital Market at Department of Fiqh and Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance, IIUM since 2006. He is currently the Deputy Chairman of Al-Rajhi Bank Malaysia Shariah Board and has been a member of since 2007, Shariah Committee Member of Bank Rakyat Malaysia Berhad and Chairman of Shariah Committee at AmMetLife Takaful Berhad. He served as Shariah Committee Member of SME bank 2012-2014, Shariah advisor to Kenanga Capital Sdn Bhd 2013-2016and Shariah Committee Member of MNRB Retakaful 2009-2011.
Dr Mohammed Hael Ghilan Al-Madhagi currently serves as an Executive Shariah Consultant (Mustashar) at Shariah Group of Al Rajhi Bank Saudi Arabia. He obtained his degree in Islamic Law from Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Ras Al-Khimah, U.A.E. and his Master’s degree in Comparative Jurisprudence at the Higher Judicial Institute in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He further pursued his academic qualification and obtained his Ph.D in Fiqh from Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Prior to joining Al Rajhi Bank Saudi Arabia in June 2007 as full time staff, Dr Muhammad served as preacher and teacher under the Ministry of Islamic Affairs Office, Ras Al-Khaimar, U.A.E. (1997 - 2003) and under The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Advocacy and Guidance in Saudi Arabia (2002 - 2004). He also served as a lecturer at Shariah College of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Ras Al-Khimah, U.A.E. (2002 - 2003). His early attachment to Al Rajhi Bank Saudi Arabia started when he first joined the Bank as a part-time Shariah Consultant in the Bank's Shariah Group early 2007.
Apart from his profession at Al Rajhi Bank, Dr Muhammad has published many books and articles related to Islamic banking and finance and other Islamic topics. He also has extensive Shariah research attributed to him and actively invited as a speaker in various conferences, seminars, and courses. He also delivers talks in Qatar radio for Shariah series and conducts Islamic intellectual discourse on weekly basis covering topics ranging from Islamic banking and finance to other areas of Shariah.
Sheikh Wan Rumaizi Wan Husin is the former lecturer at the Department of Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh at the Kulliyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences of International Islamic University Malaysia. He obtained his first degree in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh from al Al-Bayt University Jordan and Master’s degree in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh from International Islamic University Malaysia. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Islamic Banking and Finance at the IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance, and very active in delivering speech and specialized training on Shariah and in the areas of Fiqh Mualamat and Islamic Economics, as well as Fiqhi-Medico.
Sheikh Rumaizi has vast experience in Shariah consultation where he was the module developer and member of Working Group for MS 1900: 2014 Standard (Shariah-based Quality Management Systems – Requirement with Guidance) secretariat by SIRIM, Shariah Advisor for Yayasan Muamalat Belia, Shariah Advisor for Tissue Bank HUSM Kubang Kerian, Shariah Committee Representative to BKRM’s BOD Meeting. Currently Sheikh Rumaizi served as the Shariah Committee Member of Bank Kerjasama Rakyat, Shariah Committee Member of Rakyat Holdings, Shariah Committee Member of PruBSN Takaful, Shariah Advisory Committee Member for International Islamic University Malaysia, Panel Consultant Member for International Research Centre in Islamic Economy and Finance (IRCIEF), KUIS, Consultant for Sadaqah House, IRCEIF-IDB, KUIS and Member of International Union for Muslim Scholars (Ittihad al-‘Alami li ‘Ulama’ al-Muslimin), Qatar.
